Great pump, with lots of power

The LERWAY Submersible Water Pump is a very powerful pump good for lots of uses. But it was a bit bigger than I was expecting.

So I ordered this for an upcoming project where I intend to pump water in an aquarium water feature. I haven’t got the setup ready yet so I have just ran a few tests with it so far.

I was expecting the pump to be a bit smaller before it arrived but I’m hoping it will just be small enough for what I need, but make sure you measure it as you might be surprised. The pump also comes with a variety of nozzles and some inline tubing as well which is very useful.

The pump has a flow control lever on the side and it is quite difficult to get it to an accurate flow level, but in reality, the difference is not that big between the highest and lowest settings. I have included a video of it running in our bathtub, it starts on the lowest setting and I increase it to the highest in the video so you can see the difference. The flow is a bit more than I think I need, but I am hopeful that I can slow it.

Update

I have now used this in my fish tank to pump water up through a rock to provide a nice flow from the top of the rock. This works well is pretty quiet and although it was a bot of a faff to get the flow to the right level as I think the pump is a bit too powerful for what I needed, using some extra filter material to slow the flow and running it on the lowest power setting has got it to a nice consistent flow that I am happy with.
