Very high quality poo bags but at a very high cost
When I received these dog poo bags I was at first very impressed with the packaging, they arrived in a sturdy box and to get at the bags you need to remove the bright pink flower on the front of the box and then you can pull the bags through the opening. This was a bit difficult to get off in a single pull and the flower kept ripping for me, but I really liked the idea. Once open the bags are easy to remove and it is nice and easy to take only a single bag which I thought might have been an issue.
When I had the first bag in my hands, I was really surprised just how big the bag felt, we have a large labrador so thought I would play it safe and order the large size, but really I think the small would have been fine, these are huge. I have included a photo of the bag with a one-pound coin on for size comparison. I was have included an image of the bag next to a much cheaper brand that I was using before these, you can tell from the image there is a slight size difference, I would say that the cheap one is a normal poo bag size, maybe a little bigger than some. But you can see in the comparison that the material used in these poo bags is much less shiny and has a nice matte texture which feels nice and means that separating the bag for use is easy and there is no need to lick your fingers!
When I first separated one of these for use I was absolutely sure that I had accidentally picked out 2 of these, but it was just from where they are so thick! This is really and when using them it never feels like they are going to rip or give you any issues whilst out and about. One issue I did have was that where they are so big and I was not used to the extra size, I did not take into account the handles and one touched the floor where the poo was and picked up a small bit on the handle, which I then needed to avoid, I’m sure you get used to this though. The bags seem huge when carrying their payload, you can see in the photo I’ve included of the bag tied that there is still a lot of room in there, that is a large labrador poo and is only taking up maybe 20% of the space.
So one issue I have is the format of having the box as the dispenser, that works great for using them at home, but I would not like to carry that box out when we go for a walk, and it would not be easy to fit these into a normal dispenser, which expects rolls. Also, the price is very high, the smaller, cheaper ones I have compared against are literally a tenth of the cost, and for something to pick up poo and go in the bit, that seems like a big jump in price, but equally, can you put a price on the peace of mind of not worrying about a bag ripping or splitting? Also, these are super environmentally friendly, which is always a plus.
