Our new favourite chopping board – the knife sharpener is so convenient
The Lazzaro Chopping Board is our new favourite chopping board with some really nice features that make it a delight to use.

We have a small collection of chopping boards and we have found that wooden ones are our favourite type and this one provides all of the benefits of a wooden board with some extra features which elevate it and also the bamboo material gives it a really nice weight, it is heavy enough to hold in place and is greatly helped by having the rubber feet on the bottom and the bamboo also means that it is lighter than our wooden ones of the same size.
The chopping board in normal use is hard to overly appreciate but everything about it is great, the size and feel of the board make it nice to use, the indented rim just inset into the top of the board helps stop liquids from escaping off the top of the board. The board also has two handles on either side which is really nice and makes picking it up easy but unfortunately on the unit we received one of the handles has a really rough finish and is uncomfortable to use, I’m sure this is a small manufacturing defect but shows a slight gap in quality control.
The knife sharpener is really the highlight of the board for us, we have another nice knife sharpener that is great but unfortunately does not get as much use as it maybe should, we normally will find that a knife is not sharp enough and put it to one side but they the chore builds up and we end up doing a bunch of knives as a job which happens relatively rarely. Having the sharpener built into the chopping board completely solves this problem because as soon as we now decide a knife needs to be sharpened we simply sharpen it as we are always going to have the chopping board there when we are using it with a knife.
