Brilliant little desk fan at a great price
When the Homeasy USB Desk Fan arrived my first impression was that it is quite a bigger than I was expecting, but once I turned it on it became clear why, the large size fo the blades allows it to spin slower whilst providing the same airflow of a smaller fan spinning much faster, this makes it much quieter in operation and the airflow really quite impressive.
During the annual heatwave this year that we call summer in Britain, I had been using a large floor fan to keep me cool in my home office which is a tight space with quite a bit of IT equipment which makes it unbearably hot. This little fan actually did a much better job for two key reasons. The ability to run at a nice low speed means that it can be continually pointing at you without feeling like you are in the artic, which meant that with the large fan I ended up having it rotate meaning over half of the time I was not getting the benefit of it. The other key benefit of this fan over my floor fan is the infinite possibilities for positioning and directing the output airflow. Rather than a sweeping rotating in my general direction, this gives targeted relief to an exact part of my body.
One of the few negatives of the fan is the loud high pitched tone whenever it is turned on or the speed setting is changed, I have included a video of this so you can hear it for yourself. After a while, you get used to it, but at first, it can be a bit of a shock. One other thing I wanted to mention is that on the back of the fan there is a small hatch which gives access to the battery compartment, which is really useful so that it can be changed if the capacity starts to decrease or any other battery issues occur.
