Great value cable, lots of positives, no major negatives

In our house we get through charger cables very fast, there are members of my family who insist on putting them through hell.

Upon receiving the cables I was a little confused that the two-pack of cables came in a packet clearly designed for a three-pack, but ignoring that the packaging was fine, it is a nice touch the cables are bound to themselves using little black rubber bands, I was expecting that to be those horrible twisty ties.

Once I had them out I was really impressed by the feel of the cables, they are quite thick and particularly on the lightning end it has a really wide and thick connection part, there is definitely some reinforcements inside and having it be bigger makes it easier to get a good grip on to pull it out, I have included an image comparing the connector to a cheaper alternative cable which closely mimics the Apple design.

The length of the cables is so useful, personally I am using you routed through my desk for nice cable management and the other is by the side of my bed. I could have easily routed a smaller cabled through my desk and it makes such a difference being able to not feel as tethered to the wall when using my phone in bed.

In terms of power output, I am really quite impressed, this is the first relatively inexpensive cable that is able to output enough power to charge my iPad Pro while I’m using it, this is using the original power brick that cave with the iPad then to this cable directly into the iPad.
