Great switch controller but there might be better options for you
The REDSTORM Wireless Controller for Nintendo Switch is a really good cheap switch control with some advanced features and it is almost as good as an official Pro controller.
– Same or similar dimensions to a pro controller
– Nice strong build quality
– Good buttons
– Adjustable vibration is an interesting touch
– Seeing the vibration motors is cool
– A little plasticy
We have tried a few third party switch controllers as the joy-cons are fine for party games, but when playing something more serious like Zelda you really want a nicer controller with ergonomic button placement and grip. The official pro controller solves this problem but at a very high price, the REDSTORM controllers use almost the same design as the pro controllers but at a fraction of the price.
There are two big selling points of this controller specifically, the translucent casing and the adjustable vibration, these work hand in hand to be really cool and the adjustable vibration is something I have not seen in a controller before, and it does work and particularly if you are not fond of controller vibration it is nice to be able to turn it off. But in reality, I quite like it so I just have it on max the whole time. The translucent case means that you can see the motors spinning which is really cool but when playing you rarely see it.
So if you want a controller with some cool features this is a good choice, but really I would recommend one of the other REDSTORM controllers with backlit buttons and the rubberised finish over this, especially as currently it is the same price. But this is a good controller and for the price, it is hard to complain.
